What is the best diet ?….. the trillion dollar question that every book claims to be each year
5:2
south beach
blood type
GI diet
paleo
and so on and so forth,
then dont forget the shake diets out there herba…… isagen.. and the cambridgeshire diet lols
Now let not get this twisted my friend, ALL DIETS WORK…..
due to 1 single factor
” THEY CREATE A CALORIE / ENERGY DEFICIT “
So guess what
WE LOSE WEIGHT !!
But herein lies the problem,
If you have to kill yourself and miss proper food or live on some crazy diet that you cant sustain longer than 21 days without killing people and losing your sanity it might not be the best idea long term,
You catch my drift ?
So the BIGGEST factor in long term fat loss and building a better body naked if fat loss is the goal is…….. drum roll please,
” THE DIET THAT CREATES A SMALL DAILY CALORIE DEFICIT THAT IS SUSTAINABLE IN YOUR LIFESTYLE AND LETS YOU HAVE SOME OF THE STUFF YOU LOVE IN SMALL AMOUNTS WHILST HITTING YOUR NUTRITIONAL NEEDS SO YOU DONT BINGE LIKE CRAZY OR FEEL SUICIDAL AT THE THOUGHT OF ANOTHER DAY EATING LIKE THIS “
Basically i like the phrase,
” SIMPLE & SUSTAINABLE”
You see, simple gets done and if we create a sustainable way of allowing the simple things to get done we get consistency and we all know that consistency equals results !!
What does good weight loss look like ?
** if its fat you are losing you wont lose more than 1 pound per week….. any more and its water and muscle coming off as well**
EPIC DIET FAIL……..
So what and how do we do this
- Each meal get some protein ( meat & fish )
- each meal get some veggies ( LOADS OF EM )
- each meal have some carbs ( based on macros)
- each meal have some fat ( based on macros )
- Drink at least 2 litres of water per day
** For working our Calories and macros read our blog on how to work these out HERE **
So remember in priority order for sustainable fat loss,
- hit your daily energy goal
- hit your protein goal
- have foods you enjoy
- drink enough water
- lift some weights and move more
The best diet is the one you can follow consistently and keeps your mind and body healthy and hits the weight loss targets you have set (hopefully no more than 1 pound per week unless you are morbidly obese )
