Im a firm believer in the power of Why ?

If you are tuned in to your why and its big enough you can achieve pretty much anything

Your cause or your why gets you through the days where you feel lazy, dont want to show up or just cant be bothered !

YOUR WHY IS THE FUEL FOR THE DAILY WORK !!

Getting clear on your why ?

Think about all the benefits you will get by achieving your goal

for example,

goal = lose weight

benefits

  • more confidence
  • happier
  • more sexy time
  • wear what you want on holiday
  • dont have to wear baggy hoodies at the gym any more
  • healthier and lower blood pressure
  • reduced risk of diabetes
  • wear the old clothes that used to fit
  • more confidence at work
  • be an example for your kids

From that list they may all motivate you and get you out of bed every morning but my guess is that only 1 or 2 really will ignite the fire !!

So get clear on which ones it may be !!!

It may be setting a great example for the kids and being happier around them and having more energy to play with them, it may be losing weight so you feel more confident and dynamic presenting and being a leader at work !!

Losing weight isn’t just about losing the weight, its what results you get as a result of losing the weight !!!

This goes for any of the outcomes / goals you may have, so heres what to do

STEP 1

WRITE DOWN THE 1-3 MOST IMPORTANT GOALS YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW ( NO MORE THAN 3 )

STEP 2

FOR EACH ONE WRITE DOWN ALL THE BENEFITS OF ACHIEVING SAID GOAL

STEP 3

HIGHLIGHT THE 1-2 ONES THAT JUMP OUT AS THEY CUT DEEP AND HOLD SOME POWER OVER YOU

To keep the discipline daily which is required you will need the mantra and reminder of these key drivers to keep you doing the work every damn day !!
