He’d Never Tested Himself Before. This Week, That Changed.
Some people join a gym to get fit. Others join to find out what they’re actually capable of.
This week, 6FIT member Luqmaan found out.
Luqmaan had never competed in anything fitness-related before. No comps, no challenges, no “let’s see what I’ve got” moments. Just consistent training, quietly building himself up — until he decided it was time to test it.
He signed up for his first ever hybrid competition at 6FIT.
Comfort Zones Are Overrated
Let’s be honest — most people never do this. They stay in the safe lane. They train, they show up, but they never actually find out where their limits are.
Luckman didn’t take the safe option. He put his name down for something that scared him a bit, walked in not knowing exactly what to expect, and backed himself to get through it.
That’s not a small thing. That’s the difference between training and testing yourself.
How It Went
He smashed it.
Not in the sense of coming first — this wasn’t about the podium. It was about proving something to himself: that he could push past the mental noise telling him he wasn’t “that type of person,” and come out the other side stronger for it.
By his own admission, he loved it. The atmosphere, the challenge, the buzz of doing something genuinely hard in a room full of people cheering each other on — that’s exactly what these comps are built for.
And the best bit? He’s already locked in for the next one.
Why This Matters
This is what we mean when we talk about the 6FIT community. It’s not just equipment and classes — it’s an environment where someone can go from “I’ve never competed in anything” to “sign me up for the next one” in the space of a single event.
If you’ve been sat on the fence about trying a comp, take this as your sign. You don’t need to be the fittest person in the room. You just need to be brave enough to find out what you’re capable of — like Luqmaan did.
